Plot Summary
Humans and demons are like two parts of the same thing, just as Assiah and Gehenna are their own worlds. The only way to move between these worlds is through possession, similar to ghost stories. But Satan, the leader of Gehenna, can't find a good person to take over, which keeps him stuck in his world. So, he sends his son to try to take over Assiah, hoping he will become strong enough to be a host for his father.
Ao no Exorcist tells the story of Rin Okumura, a typical teenager who often causes trouble. One day, everything changes when demons attack him. He learns that he is actually Satan's son and that his father wants him back to help take over Assiah. Not wanting to join his father, Rin decides to train as an exorcist to protect Assiah with his brother, Yukio.
